A. Confidential Information and How it’s Protected
KC-BPS' objective is to provide an anonymous online marketplace for users to offer and bid on recyclable materials. KC-BPS has developed specific tools that enable users, potential buyers and sellers, to exchange price details and other information without disclosing their names, or the names of their company, in order to protect the seller's distribution channel policy and to open new markets to buyers. KC-BPS has integrated services related to the closure of the transaction (e.g. messaging, etc.) to offer the possibility for buyers or sellers to remain anonymous until a bid has been accepted by a seller through use of a unique identifier issued upon user registration. Once a bid has been accepted, we will disclose a user’s necessary personal information, but only to the extent necessary to complete the transaction. (In some limited instances, users may elect to exchange personal information through the Site in order to provide a sample of materials listed). After completion of a transaction, user hereby authorizes KC-BPS to use its name and logo in the promotion of the marketplace. Upon request, a user may also consent to allow KC-BPS to use and disclose additional personal information, including transactional history. However, KC-BPS may use and disclose generic, non-personal information about its users and transactions for such things as case studies, market research, and statistical studies.
We use security measures to protect your personal information and to control access to it, including computer safeguards and encryption.
